GeorgeTown, Grand Cayman on Freedom of the Seas

Here in Grand Cayman again, another port I like.  It is so clean and there are no one that hassles you on the streets.  The water is 3 different colors and the weather seems to be just right when we are here.  Not too hot and a little humid.  I caught one of the first tenders ashore.  I slept well last night so I could get up early this morning.  We have an early sailing today and I work when we sail so I wanted to get a lot accomplished before work.

Here is a shot of the small map of the Island they display in the Terminal.  Not a real big Island but nice.  On the way over on the tender I spoke with a older couple from Montreal Canada that were going on tour to a Turtle farm on the island.  I am not sure how is would be but I have to say I am curious.

One of the magnificent colors of the water here off the Island.  Just beautiful!.........

I thought this was an interesting building they have in town.  A Peace memorial,  When setting foot on the Island I get a sence of Peace, so I thought it would be a good picture.

I thought I would throw another picture of the ship in because it shows more of the colors of the water here in Grand Cayman.  I will be leaving this ship in a few days and I feel like I am at the end of a a long contract.  I will miss the shop staff but will be glad to sleep in my bed with my cats around me.  My company is asking me to join The Liberty of the Seas  8/22 for 2 cruises and I think i will take it.  I have stumbled on another trunk show company and they are asking me to go to Alaska for 5 cruises and the Hawaii in October.  I am thinking on the Hawaii run but can't do all the Alaska runs .  Maybe a few of them to end the season, I love going to Alaska and the cruises I was scheduled to go on in the beginning of the season were canceled due to a shortage of cabins.

Freedom of the Seas Facts:  Has 3600 Passengers, gross tonnage 160,000, is 1,112' long, 184' Beam, 28' draft, has a 21.6 knots cruising speed.  The only ship in the fleet that has the Famous Flow Rider and also has a climbing wall and Ice rink that also converts into a dance flow within an hour.

Time to pack up and head back to the tender to take me back to the ship.  Tomorrow is Cozumel and a late sailing so I will be back on my blog then.
