Ahhhhh Labadee, Haiti this was a beautiful port. It was amazing to me how this side of the Island seems untouched by the disaster that happened on the other side(Port o Prince). The waters were so unbelievably clear and multiple colors of blue and green I just wanted to stare into the water. The hills and moutians are so lush with green it is all so breath taking. I walked thru the private beach restore and it is a wonderland. It makes you forget that there is anything outside from here. You have beautiful white sand beach for as far as you can see. You can zip line over the lush green hills and I also think you can para glide over the beautiful waters. The cruise staff puts on a grand barbecue with the Calypso music playing in the background. I took the tram that takes you to a small shopping area where the locals can display and sell some of their art. I loved some of the colorful canvas paintings.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your experience. It has been so long ago since I was there. Your post brought back memories.
ReplyDeleteYes it was always so confusing how a part of the Island can look so beautiful and the other part so devastated.
Thanks again!
