When the ship is docked in a port is when I take time to go around to the different decks and take pictures of parts of the ship that might interest anyone who reads my blog.  First, I will start out with deck 12 that overlooks the kids pool, adult only pool and both Jacuzzis.  This deck has a great track for running or walking, something I try to do but not as much as I want too.  The greatest addition to this area, which was installed during dry dock, is the Hugh outdoor screen on the pool area where they show movies under the stars, and I believe music videos when the music is playing.

I haven't seen the movie playing at night yet but plan to catch it on another ship.  I love watching movies under the stars.

The pool on your left is for the kids and the one on the right is the Adult Only.  It is so peaceful at this pool you would never know there where kids on the ship.

The other attractions on this deck are the famous and ever popular Flow rider, this is an amazing thing to have on a Cruise Ship.  I haven't tried it yet but all who I have talked to can't get enough of it.  Johnny Rockets on deck 11 I had the pleasure of joining a few of the shop staff for dinner one night.  For under 5.00 you can order a burger, fries or onion rings and a soda, charged to your sea pass account of course.  And remember tips are welcome because the crew members working at Johnny Rockets will entertain you with dancing and singing to the oldies.

On the forward or front of the ship on deck 12 you can find the Spa that has all kinds of relaxing and rejuvenating treatments.  From Acupuncture to teeth whitening.  I haven't used any of the services, but I do plan too in the future.  This is also when you can go to get a locker key to secure your items while steaming out the toxins in the sauna wet or dry on deck 11.  Where you can also find the gym and all kinds of cardio equipment.

Here is my view when I am on the treadmill.  Looking past the Penguins and snow scene on the outside you will always have a spectacular view while in port or at Sea.  And the treadmills have TVs so if you don't want to look at this view you can watch TV.  And of course, that is what you want to do on vacation, kidding, lol.  I do have to note that I could never understand why they have Penguins in front of the gym, I've asked but no one had a answer.

And if you just need to stay connected or surf the world wide web while at Sea, there is the internet on the ship.  I do have to be honest and let you know it is very costly.

Let's go down to deck 5, The Promenade where more happens here than any other area of the ship.  It is lined with all the shops where you can buy anything from alcohol to a toothbrush.  There are 6 shops in all on the Promenade.  There are always promotions that will be set up along the Promenade when the ship at Sea.  This is where I set up my tables and sell my Jewelry.  You can also find places to eat, at one end is Sorrento's Pizza and the other end Cafe Promenade.  You can always find food at any hour on the ship.  But for all you "old timer" cruisers no mid night buffets the way they use to have.  The first formal night is the Captains party that is held on the Promenade.  This is when the Captain will introduce all the other officers on the ship.  They also hold a big 70's party and a big Parade, also a kids parade that is really cute to see.
There are a couple different bars on the Promenade, one is a Vintages where you can taste different Wines, a Champagne Bar and a Pub where you can actually smoke.  Not sure if this still applies now.

Then new addition and my favorite, The Cupcake Cupboard which is right next door to Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream.  You can even take a decorating class with the creator of the cupcakes and learn how to make a cupcake a piece of art.  They taste good too, I could not resist I had to buy one.
Could cruising get any better?

The left side is the Champagne Bar and the right is an old Vintage car that is on display on the Promenade.  Many a picture has been taken with this car in the background.

All the above pictures are from the Ice Show they have on board and is preformed while the Ship is in motion, at Sea.  This is why I took so many pictures because it amazes me how well these performers do on ice skates while at Sea.  Sometimes it is hard for me to keep my balance when the waters are a bit rough.  I did really enjoy the show and suggest if you are on a ship that has the show make sure you go see it, you will enjoy it.

The other show that peaked my curiosity was the Musician/comedian from Uruguay.  I did enjoy his show and it was unique.  He played 3 instruments and was pretty funny, but the best was these things he swung around and cold fix this brave man's hair while twirling them on each side of his head without hitting him.

Now for the kid's zone...........a kid's heaven at Sea.

The above picture is the entrance to Adventure Ocean and below is the hallway before entering into the larger section of the center.
There is so much to do here that the parents I have talked to have informed me that it is hard to get their kids to come out of the center.

Between the kids pool, the Adventure center, movies and a mega ship to run around on what more could a kid ask for and what better vacation to be on with your parents but barely ever see them.

This is as big as our fun zone at home. I would even have fun in here.
When you take your kids on a cruise not to worry if they have fun.  There is too much to do not to have fun.

MY PASSENGER CABIN
I am not always guaranteed a passenger cabin, but it sure makes a difference for me when I do, even though I have passenger status.  These are nice cabins and above water level.  It usually has a queen bed, but I ask my room attendant to split the beds because it gives me more room to move around the cabin.

With this size cabin I am able to bring all my stock and organize it and get each collection ready for the unveiling.
I have to admit I was spoiled on the Liberty.

These are a few of what I like to call my bed buddies.  My attendant will make a new one up each night of the cruise to greet you when you enter your cabin.  I have been on ships where they get very creative and have used my sunglasses, added eyes, a cigar or any other item hanging around your cabin, I love it!
These two in case you haven't figured them out a bat and an elephant.  I think I also had a turtle, a frog and a dog.
There is so much more to this ship then I have covered but I did not have enough time to do so.  I can tell you it is worth it to come and take a vacation on one of these ships.  I find it the best way to travel.  In my lifetime I have traveled to many different parts of the world and have used many different types of travel but on a cruise ship I have found it the best.  So, book a cruise and you too can explore one of these vessels on the water.  Look for "What a Gem", when you are and ask to see if it is me sailing on your vacation.  Hope to see you on a cruise ship next time.............
